Meet Helen

Medical Transcriptionist

After completing the Hospital Unit Clerk program at North Island College in 2009, Helen joined Dr Jacobs and the Quinsam Medical Group as a Medical Office Assistant.
When Dr Jacobs announced the opening of his Practical Dermatology Clinic in 2015, Helen was thrilled to be invited to support Dr Jacobs as his Medical Transcriptionist.

This lifelong Campbell River resident brings a strong work ethic, a calmness when under pressure and a warm and caring demeanor that has made her an indispensable part of Therry and Dr Jacobs’ Discovery Laser Team!

In 1994 Dr. Jacobs earned his medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa. He enjoyed practising medicine in both South Africa and England before immigrating to Canada and beautiful Vancouver Island.... >> more
