Dr. Gert Jacobs – M.B., Ch.B., CCFP, DPD, MSc.PD, FCFP
In 1994 Dr. Jacobs earned his medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa. He enjoyed practising medicine in both South Africa and England before immigrating to Canada and beautiful Vancouver Island.
Therry Jacobs
Therry and Dr. Jacobs opened Discovery Laser Skin Care Clinic in 2005. Earning her Cosmetology Diploma in Graz, Austria in 1989, Therry has practiced aesthetics in Austria, Germany, England and South Africa.
Cindy
In 2020, Cindy joined the Discovery Laser team, after more than 34 years in the hospitality industry. Cindy will cheerfully field questions and ensure your treatment bookings are placed with the best clinician to address your concerns.
Brandi
After working in the banking industry for over 15 years, Brandi moved to the medical field in 2013 achieving her Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification.
Gillian
After 26 years in the financial/accounting sector, Gillian attained her aesthetics diploma at VIU in 2011 before completing certifications in Laser technology & light based platforms at All Body Laser (Port Coquitlam) in 2012.
Stephanie
Stephanie joined Discovery Laser in 2020 bringing a rich and varied background in aesthetics that include certifications in Laser technology, light based platforms and permanent make up.
Sasha
Born in Saskatchewan, the eldest of the Jacobs’ two daughters provides seasonal/auxiliary support for her parent’s Practical Dermatology and Discovery Laser businesses.
Sandra
Initially providing front desk administrative support to Discovery Laser in 2016, Sandra has evolved to managing all social media content.
Helen
After completing the Hospital Unit Clerk program at North Island College in 2009, Helen joined Dr Jacobs and the Quinsam Medical Group as a Medical Office Assistant.
Yana
Born in Campbell River, the youngest of the Jacobs’ two daughters provides seasonal/auxiliary support for her parent’s Practical Dermatology and Discovery Laser businesses.
